Com mais de 80 pilotos inscritos na competição, o recém empossado presidente da federação, Clodoaldo Barros ficou satisfeito com a participação dos competidores espera um ano bom para a modalidade no DF. “O evento é mais para acordar os pilotos, estamos começando o ano forte e para a gente se preparar para o brasiliense e para o brasileiro”, afirma.
As categorias que brigaram pelo lugar mais alto no pódio foram a Expert, Ellite, Cruisser, Júnior Man e Elite Man. Depois de três baterias, Rafael Silva venceu a Ellite Man, principal categoria do Bicicross, no ano de 2008 ele teve problemas de saúde e em 2009 pretende aprimorar sua técnica com a Campânia dos melhores do mundo visando os Jogos Olímpicos de 2012. “O meu projeto é ir para a América do Norte competir lá sempre visando as Olimpíadas de Londres,” disse o vencedor da prova.
A primeira etapa do brasiliense acontece no dia 15 de março na pista de Sobradinho – DF.
